Finance Express Opens Editing for Contracted Deals



Finance Express now allows you to make edits to the deal when it's in a contracted status that do not effect the contractual agreement between you and the customer.  The edits that are allowed in a contracted status are:

  • Commissions
  • Discounts/Acquisitions
  • Reserves
  • Cost associated with warranties and GAP
Once the change has been made, you will need to hit calculate to update the information you made changes to.  This feature is also secure.  If you don't want your employees having access to this feature, you will uncheck their security right for "can edit contracted deals".

We have Released the Android App!




Our FEX Mobile Android App is the first DMS mobile application which is tightly integrated with FEX DMS. It allows dealers to quickly scan and decode VINs, then view relevant pricing information from NADA, KBB, BlackBook, and Manheim MMR. Additionally, dealers can view vehicle history reports from CARFAX and AutoCheck. Pictures can also be taken and uploaded to all vehicles.

 
Other Key Features

Evaluate a vehicle: using the phones built in camera, you can quickly scan a vehicles VIN. If desired, you can manually type in the VIN. Once the VIN has been scanned, the system will automatically decode the VIN and provide you with up to date, detailed information about that vehicle. You can even add the vehicle to your live FEX inventory with a single click!


Create Customized Auction Lists: the FEX mobile app has been designed to assist you as you visit your local vehicle auctions. As you walk around scanning VINs, the mobile app is keeping tabs on those vehicles. You are then able to quickly retrieve and view any of the previously scanned vehicles, then assign them to an auction list. As the auction begins, you are able to view this auction list on your mobile phone, ultimately helping you make intelligent purchasing decisions.
 
View Dealership Activity: the dealership snapshot shows company owners and managers a real-time breakdown of their dealerships activity. This includes sales for today, how much money was collected, number of vehicles in stock, current accounts receivable information and past due information.
 
App is Free: As a Finance Express customer, the application is free. It is just another way to provide you some added convenience for your daily business needs and help integrate what you do everyday with your dealer management software.

New Custom Report Engine is Here!!!

Our development team has worked diligently over the past year redesigning the FEX DMS Reporting Engine and we're confident that you're going to be pleased with the results. In preparation for this launch we are offering several demonstration/training classes over the next couple weeks. Here are a few of the features to look forward to in this release:
Feature List
1. Cross Browser Compliant - works in IE, Safari*, Google Chrome* and Firefox*
2. Report Security - Limit viewing and editing of individual reports, as well as individual data fields
3. New Report Organization - Categorize reports within users and/or folders
4. Customize Column Headings - Customize column headings for personalized naming preferences
5. Report Parameters - Easily modify report filters when generating a report
6. Grouping & Sorting - Organize and subtotal your reports
7. Charts & Graphs - View your data in a graph or chart
8. Robust Data Sources - Expanded number of data columns and enhanced column selection features
9. Column Totaling - New column summarizing features including sum, average, maximum, minimum, count, etc.
10. Advanced Report Layout Features - Custom settings including, column formats, font size, report colors, hide headers, footers & detail, and save layout preferences for future viewing
11. Scheduling - Set reports to generate automatically on designated time intervals and receive email notifications upon completion
12. Copy Reports - Create a report using another report as a template
*You may experience some limitations with specific features

Deal/Lead Security

We listen to our dealers when they make requests for enhancements.  One that got brought to our attention was added security for the Lead Console and Deals tab.  Dealers wanted the ability to restrict a salesperson to only see the deals that were assigned to them.  We felt that this was a good suggestion and one that all dealers could benefit from so this morning we released the new Deal list and Lead security.  We like to take the opportunity to add additional enhancements when we put out a new update so here are some things that were added as well:

Feature List
  • Being able to assign a user to only see certain sales peoples' deals
  • Added advanced search options under the Deal List
    • Can save default filter settings for future settings like in inventory
    • Can search in larger date range
    • Can filter to view multiple deal types
    • Can filter to view multiple deal statuses
    • Can filter to view multiple sales peoples' deals
    • Save setting to see up to 250 deals on one page
  • Deal creation date has been added to the deal list next to the contract date
  • A new deal can be started from the Deal List

Help!

At Fex we are always trying to think of new ways to help our dealers.  It is imperative that a dealer is able to find the answer they are looking for and in a timely manner because those precious moments with the customer are invaluable and who wants to lose a sale over not being able to work your DMS?  So Fex has beefed up our Help tab.  We have added the following to make things easier for our dealers to navigate through our system:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
  • Under the Help tab is a FAQ box.  Click on it to see the common questions in FEX
  • The top ten questions are listed there with answers as well as videos in most cases to show you how to do it
  • Other questions can be looked up in the search bar to find other relevant subjects

Training Videos
  • We have created training videos for different areas of the system.
  • You can find them under the Help tab on the right hand side
  • Each section has been broken down into videos less than 11 minutes long
  • They take you step by step through each area of the system for easy follow along
Online Chat
  • In the upper right hand corner of your screen when you're logged in you will see online chat.
  • Click on the green button to start a live chat
  • Our customer service reps are happy to assist you answering questions or calling you to go over items
  • They can also to a go to assist where they can see your computer screen to help you with a problem.
Training Calendar
  • On the My Console tab is the training calendar
  • That has a listing of the different trainings we are doing throughout the week
  • If you click on the training, it gives you a description of the training and link to the training itself
Contact Phone Numbers
  • On the Help tab in the bottom left hand corner is a listing of all our sales reps' phone numbers
  • If you've lost their number or just trying to get a hold of someone after hours that's the place to look
  • Tara Huber and Mike Dominguez's phone numbers are listed as well so you have added back up if you can't get a hold of your rep
  • Corporate's 800 number is listed there as well.

About Finance Express



Finance Express was established in 2001 after its founder, David Huber, recognized a need for a simple, powerful and affordable dealer management solution for independent dealers. Mr. Huber brought years of experience in the automotive and finance industry together with innovative technology to develop a solution that levels the playing field for independent automobile dealers.

FEX is the first and only fully-integrated, web-based dealer management system ("DMS") that includes an integrated loan origination platform designed exclusively for independent dealers and a comprehensive risk mitigation program for participating lenders.

In early 2006, Finance Express formalized an equity partnership with Automotive Finance Corporation (AFC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adesa, Inc. This partnership gave Finance Express traction within the industry and creditability with leading lenders.

In October of 2006, Finance Express acquired software technology company CompuSolutions, Inc. (aka DealTrace), which specialized in Buy Here Pay Here, accounting systems and comprehensive integration solutions. Together these two companies created FEX 2.0 – the simple, powerful and affordable full-service dealer management and loan servicing system, created especially for the independent used car dealer. Today, FEX is the only system that fully integrates regional, national, and local lenders into the dealer management system with accounting, collections, buy here pay here, and inventory management, and provides all other tools needed to run an internet connected dealership today.

In May of 2007, Finance Express acquired the Tracker Dealer Management System from Manheim. The purchase of Tracker forged a strong relationship between Finance Express and Manheim Financial Services (MAFS).
